| The Gatekeeper appears |
The apparition does not appear threatening, at least not yet. You tightly grip your sword. You raise your wooden shield across your chest. The apparition seems to turn and look directly at you. You can not see its face yet. Mists and shimmers distort your view.
Then the apparition waves its arms and you draw your sword to its ready. The mists clear and the air becomes suddenly cool.
... and you now realize that you are looking into the face of the legendary Gatekeeper!
